Our Concord dance competition takes place in January at the Embassy Suites Charlotte-Concord Golf Resort & Spa, which is also our host hotel. Staying where you dance keeps the weekend relaxed and lets families spend less time on logistics and more time cheering. Dancers train with our faculty through the Classroom Series and then perform in the Competition Experience. It is our North Carolina stop on the tour of dance competitions, and an early chance to set the tone for the season. Space is limited, so places go to studios on a first-come, first-served basis.

What to expect at our Concord dance convention

A Revive weekend gives dancers both a convention and a competition in one trip. In the Classroom Series, dancers join extended 70-minute sessions across multiple genres, long enough to explore choreography in depth and build real understanding. Studios with dancers who only want to train can register them for the Classroom Series without competing.

Those who want to perform can enter the Competition Experience, provided they are also registered for the full Classroom Series at the same event. They enjoy dedicated stage time, receive constructive critiques from faculty judges, and are adjudicated under the Amplified Rules and Regulations. Optional Classroom Series + sessions add extra classes, seminars and forums, including Propel: Future in Motion for dancers 16+, parents and educators thinking about life after high school, and ACE (Amplified Continued Education), our trainee pathway for dancers 15+. The SPARKS Experience welcomes ages 5–7, and the weekend ends with the SHOWCASE, featuring SPARKS dancers and our Performance Crew.
