Dance Competitions & Dance Conventions In California 2026/2027

California dancers, we are so glad you found us. For studios weighing dance conventions in California and families exploring dance competitions in California 2026/2027, Revive Dance offers four weekends across the state, each one blending training, performance and supportive feedback. Our goal is simple: give every dancer a welcoming space to learn, take risks on stage and leave inspired.

The dance competition California has been waiting for!

With stops in Burbank, San Diego, Burlingame and Los Angeles, our California season runs from November 2026 through May 2027, so studios can choose the weekend that best fits their calendar. Every California dance competition on our tour comes paired with a full convention, meaning dancers train in the Classroom Series and then perform for faculty judges in the Competition Experience. Across all of our dance conventions, we keep the focus on growth and community rather than pressure. Space is limited at each stop and registration is first-come, first-served, so we encourage studios to reserve early for their preferred weekend.

Four Revive weekends are confirmed for California: Burbank in November, San Diego in December, Burlingame in March and Los Angeles in May. Use the table below to compare dates and venues and to find registration and hotel details for each event.

What to expect at our dance conventions in California

No matter which weekend you choose, the format stays consistent. Our Classroom Series offers extended 70-minute classes in multiple genres, giving dancers time to absorb choreography, technique and feedback from Revive faculty. Dancers who would rather focus purely on training can attend the Classroom Series without entering the competition.

Competitors must be registered for the full Classroom Series at the same event before stepping into the Competition Experience. There, studios receive dedicated stage time and constructive critiques from faculty judges, with adjudication guided by the Amplified Rules and Regulations. Age divisions include Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior, plus an Adult Division. Look for convention schedules and performance orders fewer than 10 days before your event.

Beyond the competition stage, Mini through Senior dancers can join the Audition Experience for scholarship opportunities and Performance Crew selection, while dancers ages 5–7 shine in the SPARKS Experience. Performance Crew members and SPARKS dancers both have the chance to perform in the closing SHOWCASE, where selected Encore Showcase group entries are featured too.
