What to expect at our dance conventions in Texas
A Revive weekend brings our Classroom Series and Competition Experience together in two distinct environments. In the Classroom Series, dancers train with our faculty members through extended 70-minute sessions across a range of genres, with a community-focused approach designed to encourage confidence, exploration and artistic growth. Dancers can attend the Classroom Series without entering the Competition Experience.
For dancers taking part in the Competition Experience, registration for the full two- or three-day Classroom Series is required. The Competition Experience gives studios dedicated performance time, age-appropriate scheduling and constructive critiques from faculty judges, while our Amplified Rules and Regulations help support consistent and ethical adjudication. Detailed schedules and performance orders are released close to each event, so studios should check current event information as their weekend approaches.
Mini through Senior dancers can also take part in the Audition Experience, with scholarship opportunities that include selection for the Performance Crew. Selected Performance Crew dancers perform in the SHOWCASE, helping bring the weekend together with a shared closing experience for dancers, teachers, studios and families.
