Our Massachusetts dance competition runs side by side with the Classroom Series, so dancers can take extended classes in the morning and step into the Competition Experience with fresh energy. What to expect at our dance conventions in Massachusetts
Our events bring two experiences together in one weekend. The Classroom Series delivers extended 70-minute sessions in a variety of genres, giving our faculty members time to coach, correct and inspire. Dancers who want the training without the competition can attend the Classroom Series on its own.
Before stepping on stage, competing dancers need a full Classroom Series registration at the same event. Once there, routines receive constructive critiques from faculty judges, with adjudication following the Amplified Rules and Regulations across our Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen, Senior and Adult divisions. Convention schedules and performance orders are released fewer than 10 days before the weekend, and waivers must be signed before registration is complete.
Mini through Senior dancers have the option of the Audition Experience, which offers scholarship opportunities and selection for the Performance Crew. Through Classroom Series +, dancers 16+, parents and educators can join Propel: Future in Motion to talk through next steps after high school, and the closing SHOWCASE celebrates Performance Crew dancers alongside selected Encore Showcase group entries.
