Dance Competitions & Dance Conventions In Michigan 2026/2027

Welcome, Michigan dancers! Whether your studio is researching dance conventions in Michigan or narrowing down dance competitions in Michigan 2026/2027, we would love to have you with us. Revive Dance brings training, performance and encouraging feedback together in one weekend built around community, so dancers, teachers and families can share the season and celebrate every step of progress.

The dance competition Michigan has been waiting for!

This season our Michigan stop lands in Detroit in November, giving studios an early-season weekend to set goals and gain valuable stage experience. Our Detroit weekend is a Michigan dance competition and convention in one: dancers train in the Classroom Series and can then take the stage in the Competition Experience for constructive critiques from faculty judges. Like all of our dance conventions, the weekend centers on growth, connection and the joy of dancing together. Space is limited and registration is handled first-come, first-served, so we recommend securing your studio's spot early.

What to expect at our dance conventions in Michigan

Every Revive weekend combines a convention and a competition so dancers can learn and perform in the same event. Our Classroom Series is the heart of the experience, with extended 70-minute classes across multiple genres taught by our faculty members. Dancers are welcome to join the Classroom Series on its own, without competing.

Dancers who enter the Competition Experience must also be registered for the full Classroom Series at the same event. On stage, routines are adjudicated under the Amplified Rules and Regulations, and faculty judges share constructive critiques that dancers and teachers can carry back into the studio. Divisions run from Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior through to an Adult Division.

Mini through Senior dancers can step into the Audition Experience for scholarship opportunities and the chance to be selected for the Performance Crew, who perform in our closing SHOWCASE. Our youngest dancers, ages 5–7, have the SPARKS Experience, which also includes a performance opportunity in the SHOWCASE.
