The dance competition Detroit MI has been waiting for!
Our Detroit dance competition takes place over one November weekend at the Somerset Inn, which also serves as our host hotel, so classes, performances and your overnight stay can all sit under one roof. Dancers spend the weekend learning from our faculty members in the Classroom Series before stepping onto the stage for the Competition Experience. It is one stop on our wider tour of dance competitions, and it is our only Michigan weekend this season. Space is limited and registration is first-come, first-served, so we encourage studios to gather their dancers early.

What to expect at our Detroit dance convention
Every Revive weekend pairs a convention with a competition. The Classroom Series sits at the heart of it, with extended 70-minute sessions across multiple genres that give dancers time to absorb new material rather than rush through it. Dancers who would rather train without competing are welcome to attend the Classroom Series on its own.
For those taking the stage, the Competition Experience offers dedicated performance time and constructive critiques from faculty judges, with adjudication following the Amplified Rules and Regulations. Entrants must also be registered for the full Classroom Series at the same event, and divisions run from Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior through to an Adult Division. Studios can find more about our dance competition Michigan events while they prepare.
Our youngest performers, ages 5–7, can join the SPARKS Experience, which includes a chance to perform in the closing SHOWCASE. Mini through Senior dancers can take part in the Audition Experience for scholarship opportunities and selection for the Performance Crew, who also perform in the SHOWCASE. Please remember that waivers must be signed before registration can be completed.
