What to expect at our St. Augustine dance convention
Picture the weekend as a story in three acts. It opens in the studio with the Classroom Series, where 70-minute sessions across multiple genres give dancers time to absorb choreography rather than race through it. Some dancers stay in this act all weekend, and that is perfectly fine, because the Classroom Series is open to dancers who are not competing.
The second act moves to the stage. Our Competition Experience offers dedicated performance time and constructive critiques from faculty judges, adjudicated under the Amplified Rules and Regulations, with divisions spanning Sparks through Senior plus an Adult Division. Because training and performing belong together, every competing dancer is also registered for the full Classroom Series. Teachers weighing other stops can explore our dance competition Florida details.
The final act is the SHOWCASE. Performance Crew members chosen through the Audition Experience, which is open to Mini through Senior dancers and carries scholarship opportunities, take the spotlight, and dancers ages 5–7 from the SPARKS Experience perform too. Behind the scenes, remember to sign waivers early, since registration cannot be finished without them.
