Revive Dance: The best dance conventions & competitions
Revive is built around time to learn as well as time to perform. The Classroom Series uses extended 70-minute sessions across genres, giving dancers more room to absorb material, ask questions and develop confidence. The Competition Experience then creates a focused, community-driven setting where studios can present their work and receive constructive critiques.
Many families looking for the best dance competitions want more than placements alone. Revive keeps education and performance connected, whether a dancer is committed to competition dance, walking into a first dance comp or simply looking for a weekend that feels challenging, encouraging and worthwhile.
A dancing competition can be intense, but competition dancing does not have to crowd out learning or wellbeing. Revive structures the weekend so that the Classroom Series, Competition Experience and wider community support one another, helping dancers leave with feedback, new ideas and renewed motivation rather than just a score.
What to expect at our dance conventions
At a Revive regional dance convention, the weekend is organized around several named experiences rather than a single block of classes and performances. The Classroom Series provides extended training with Revive faculty, while Classroom Series + adds optional opportunities to go deeper through additional classes, seminars and forums.
Revive's dance competition shows sit within the Competition Experience, a dedicated part of the weekend designed to give dancers a supportive place to perform and receive critiques. Dancers entering the Competition Experience must also be registered for the full Classroom Series at the same event. Studios should review the current Rules + Regs for registration, age divisions, scheduling, music, props and awards.

SPARKS — ages 5–7
The Audition Experience gives Mini through Senior dancers a chance to experience an audition environment guided by Revive faculty and professional assistants. Dancers may be considered for scholarships and Performance Crew selection, with selected Performance Crew dancers performing in the closing SHOWCASE.
For younger dancers, the SPARKS Experience is built specifically for ages 5–7, with age-appropriate training and a performance opportunity in the closing SHOWCASE. Revive also uses the SHOWCASE to bring together selected moments from the weekend, including Encore Showcase group entries chosen from the Competition Experience.
Classroom Series + also creates room for options beyond the standard dance schedule. Propel: Future in Motion is a forum-style offering for dancers 16+, parents and educators focused on next steps after high school, while ACE (Amplified Continued Education) is Revive's trainee pathway for dancers ages 15 and up.
